Code of Ethics
How this house behaves — toward the women it dresses, the people who make its pieces, and one another.
This is written in my own voice because I intend to be held to it. It applies to every room of the house — DK Angelette, D'Angelette, Studio Ex, and SLASH Outlet By DK Angelette. It is maintained by DK Angelette and revised as the house grows.

Our promise
The woman comes first
Every decision — a hemline, a price, an email — is measured against one question: does this serve the woman wearing it? If it only serves the house, we do not do it.
No pressure, ever
We do not manufacture urgency. No invented countdowns, no false scarcity, no guilt in our messaging. If a piece is nearly gone, we say so because it is true.
Craft and quality
How pieces are finished
Each piece is inspected before it leaves us — seams, closures, linings, and finish. Anything that does not meet the standard is repaired or withheld rather than shipped and apologised for later.
Honest description
Fabrics, fibres, and construction are described as they are. A piece that is machine-made is not called handmade. A blend is not called pure.
Sourcing and materials
Who we work with
We work with makers and suppliers who treat their people decently and who will answer questions about their workrooms. A relationship ends when that stops being true.
What we will say
Where we know the origin of a material, we will tell you. Where we do not yet know, we will say that instead of guessing. We do not publish certifications or audit claims we cannot show you.
Honest pricing
No invented prices
A crossed-out price on any of our sites is a price the piece genuinely carried in the house. We do not inflate a figure in order to discount it.
Markdowns, plainly
D'Angelette holds the remaining stock from the original store — final pieces, sold as they are. SLASH Outlet holds markdowns, discontinued pieces, and other labels we carry. Both are described as exactly that, never dressed up as new season.
The client's privacy
What we hold
We keep what an order, appointment, or request needs: your name, contact details, addresses, and the history of what you asked us for. Payment details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
What we will not do
We do not sell or rent client information. We do not share it beyond the services required to fulfil your order. You may ask us to correct or delete your details at any time. Our full Privacy Policy sets out the detail.
Conduct in the atelier and the studio
Consent and comfort
Fittings, consultations, and studio sessions are private. Nothing is measured, cut, coloured, or photographed without your say-so, and you may stop a session at any point.
Images
Client photographs appear on our sites only with permission, given separately from the appointment itself. Permission can be withdrawn and the image comes down.
Respect runs both ways
Our team is owed the same courtesy it extends. Harassment of staff or other clients ends the appointment.
Timekeeping
We hold your hour for you and we start on time. Deposits, late arrivals, and cancellations follow the terms shown when you book — no surprise charges.
Accessibility and welcome
Who is welcome
Every woman, every shape, every background. We do not turn anyone away over race, faith, disability, age, or who they love.
The site itself
We build these pages to be read by screen readers and used by keyboard. If something on the site keeps you out, tell us and we will fix it.
Speaking up
If we fall short of anything written here, write to me. A concern raised with Customer Care reaches the house directly, and I read the ones addressed to me.
