D'ANGELETTE PASSION IN LIFE
DISCOVERING YOUR GIFTS
Hello Beautiful People,
I decided to start writing about my passion and experiences throughout my life’s journey. The question is where do I begin? My journey started at a young age when I realized my gifts and purpose in life. Let’s talk a little about the gifts I’m blessed with by God (my heavenly father).
Hair and fashion are the core of my gifts. They are what motivates me each and every day to want my clients to look and feel their best. The simple joy of seeing a big smile on one of my client’s faces after styling their hair or suggesting a one-of-a-kind garment for their special day or an evening out on the town is priceless and gives me great joy.
The real kicker was that by age 14, my gifts manifested, and I identified my purpose and vision were clearly identified to me. I remember very clearly. I had six Barbie dolls that were my best friends, and the lifeline that helped shaped my gifts – my passion. Realizing my passion and what God’s purpose was for me; I started designing elegant gowns for my six Barbie dolls; styling their hair, and putting them on display for my cousins to see.
Feeling completely confident in my gifts, I started styling my own hair and receiving compliments from friends and family members. Then, I started receiving requests from people to style their hair for a fee. At that moment, D’Angelette Studio was brewing, and I didn’t even realize it.
Fast forward four years, and I’m a self-taught professional hair stylist and seamstress. However, at age 18, I did enroll in beauty school to perfect my gifts. I honestly believe that in life, if you’re not walking in your purpose and fulfilling your gifts, you’re not living. I don’t want to just exist in life; having a purpose to Inspired others is my greatest aspirations. I believe that I’m very gifted in encouraging other women to be more confident, staying focus and never second guess their true self. Be beautiful in your own skin, having the complete freedom to express yourself with your hair and fashion. Always stay true to what you are passionate about and never compromise your dreams and aspiration.
I watched a video session of Taylor Talk with Fantasia & Kendall Taylor recently and he said something that really inspired me,
“Compromise is the seed that kills destiny”
I believe this is so true because people will compromise instead of following their path.
MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
I just celebrated my birthday and I feel so blessed to be alive. My birthday celebration was beautiful and relaxing as always but a little different this year due to COVID-19 safety and travel concerns.
This year, my husband decided that we should take a short road trip to celebrate my birthday. We rode to downtown Philadelphia and my honey checked us into the luxurious W hotel, Philadelphia. The hotel ambiance is beautiful from the lobby down to our Fabulous, Guest room, Skyline view, upper floor. Our room was on the 37th floor overlooking the city and entering the room was a wow moment, it was amazingly beautiful. They really put great thought into designing the room for the guest’s comfort.
The day of my birthday relaxing in the W hotel Philadelphia.
The morning of my birthday, three hotel attendants came in our room with a bouquet of red roses, heart shaped red balloons with a card. Of course, my husband set everything up as a surprise and they sang happy birthday to me.
Afterwards, we decided to do a room service for breakfast and their Berries bowl with yogurt was unbelievably delicious and my Hubby had Egg white Benedict with vegetables; it was also good.
After breakfast, we decided to spend the day Touring downtown Philadelphia. We visited King of Prussia mall which was my favorite part of the city tour because I love shopping. My hubby suggested that we should visited some of my favorite stores, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Zara. That was exactly what I need to hear.
Life is too short and my advice to everyone is to follow your dream and don’t let anyone or COVID-19 steal your joy. See you all at my next blog. Thanks!
